Hello and welcome back once more.

So, the last week or so has seen a promising start in both the Championship and the League Cup. A draw away at Blackburn and a win at home to Huddersfield have put us third in the league, and a win against Coventry on Tuesday night saw the Bluebirds progress to the next round of the cup, where we will play Port Vale (Full 2nd round draw available Here)

Departures and arrivals – Kevin Theophile-Catherine has headed off to St. Etienne, on a one year loan deal with the French Ligue 1 team, Anthony Pilkington has made his way over from Norwich City and looks to be replacing the injured Craig Noone. Gary Medel has also said his goodbyes and is jetting off to don the black and blue of Inter Milan.

The biggest surprise of the first week, has probably been the performance of January signing Kenwyn Jones who is currently sitting as the league’s top goal scorer with three in the bag. Even if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer feels he is not fully fit, it seems he has found his lucky boots at last and, hopefully, there’ll be many more from the front man this season. A brief post game interview with Kenwyn can be found just here

Brayford was back in the saddle against Huddersfield and, from what I saw, earned his place on the field with a decent and mostly solid performance, even if a slip in defensive concentration as a whole left the field open for Wallace to score.

So, what are we looking forward to. Well tomorrow night could hold a tough battle against Wigan, who narrowly missed promotion to the Premier League last season.

Then, on Saturday, we are headed off to Wolverhampton to take on Wolves, who did manage to get themselves promoted from League One. Fingers crossed that this should be a fairly easy match, however as we saw last season with a victory over Manchester City… The underdog sometimes has his teeth in the right place…

We’ll be back with a full match review tomorrow night, see you then.
